Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative including celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.
Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of characters who will separate from the main group to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table includes Teor (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might appear out of place, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the team knows exactly where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the secret base, attacking the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
The antagonist then settled his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, above the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the companion and best friend, desires retribution.
- Kattigan has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
- The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their position as key figures in House Halovar could assist the party enter places they usually can’t.
- Moreover, Teor pledged a life debt to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:
- The rogue and The character are known criminals.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the family.
This results in them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.
